Students studying in the INTERNATIONAL DIVISION can access a world of opportunity to connect with and learn about Japan without any prerequisite language skills while studying the NSW curriculum. At SJIS, an inclusive environment welcomes students of all backgrounds, fostering a global perspective. Children gain solid Japanese language skills, including reading, speaking and writing, as well as a deeper understanding of Japanese culture throughout their years at SJIS.
- The Japanese curriculum delivered by MEXT (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) teachers in Years 1-9, plus a comprehensive English language program
Students studying in the JAPANESE DIVISION have the opportunity to study the Japanese primary school and junior high school curriculum in Australia with Japanese curriculum experts, while also gaining English language and cultural skills that broaden their understanding of the world.
